Individual Counselling

A Soft Landing for Tending to Your Inner World

Depth-oriented, trauma-informed individual therapy for adults seeking an unhurried space to slow down, process complex life experiences, and reconnect with their inherent wisdom.

Weaving Paths & Two-Eyed Seeing

Therapy with me is a relational, unhurried space. Rather than following a rigid map or chasing pre-determined outcomes, we allow room to meander—slowing down to notice the subtleties of daily life, the signals of your nervous system, and the stories carrying your lived experience.

My approach is rooted in the principle of Two-Eyed Seeing (Etuaptmumk): learning to see through one eye with the strengths of Indigenous ways of knowing, story, somatic wisdom, and relational interconnectedness—and through the other eye with the helpful insights of clinical practice and critical inquiry. Together, these two perspectives offer a richer, more holistic way of understanding where you have been and how you move forward.

Who Individual Counselling Is For

You don’t need a formal diagnosis, the "right" clinical words, or a neat plan to begin therapy. Individual counselling with me is designed for folks navigating the expansive, complex landscapes of life—especially those who have often felt unseen or misunderstood in mainstream spaces.

This dedicated space is a good fit if you are looking to navigate:

  • Trauma & Complex Wounds: Gentle integration of developmental, relational, intergenerational, and systemic trauma.

  • Burnout, Fatigue & Systemic Depletion: Exploring the roots of overwhelm, people-pleasing, and survival strategies while creating space for true restoration.

  • Grief, Endings & Transitions: Holding space for loss, life shifts, identity changes, and the quiet grief of walking between worlds.

  • Identity & Self-Exploration: Unraveling expectations, conditioning, and inherited stories to discover who you are on your own terms.

  • Parts Work & Inner Healing: Compassionately getting to know the different protective and wounded parts of yourself through parts work and somatic reflection.

  • Dreams, Altered States & Meaning: Integrating profound inner experiences, dreams, and non-ordinary states of consciousness with grounding and care.

The Flow of Sessions

  1. Initial Connection

Format: 20-minute video call

Cost: Free

A relaxed, low-pressure space for us to meet, talk about your needs, and notice whether our energies align. I’ll share a brief overview of my background, and you’ll be invited to share what you’re seeking.

2.Getting to know one another

Focus: Understanding your context and current life

In our first few sessions, we gently explore the terrains you are currently navigating. We look at your daily rhythms, relationships, roles, and the innate wisdom and community strengths that sustain you

3. Ongoing Therapeutic Relationship

Focus: Deeper exploration and process

Each session builds on the last as I learn your story and strengths. You bring whatever topic, feeling, or real-time experience feels most relevant to you each week. Together, we slow down to notice underlying patterns, tend to difficult emotions, and hold space for storytelling, somatic reflection, ritual, and inquiry. Every interaction is an invitation to take what helps and leave the rest

Key Principles of My Practice

  • Meeting You Where You Are: We make room for whatever is happening in your life right now—daily stress, relationship conflicts, or ongoing concerns. Small everyday moments often offer valuable clues about deeper underlying patterns.

  • Reframing Symptoms: Rather than treating anxiety, depression, burnout, or grief as personal flaws to eliminate, we become curious about what they are communicating regarding your boundaries, history, needs, and systemic stressors.

  • Honouring the Full Human Experience: Therapy doesn't have to be heavy all the time. There is room for grief, anger, and pain—alongside humour, delight, absurdity, pleasure, and ordinary life. You don’t have to perform wellness in the therapy room.
